Job Description:

We are currently seeking candidate for the position of Associate QA Engineer at Bangalore location.

Job Title:

We are looking for a QA engineer to work on improving software development processes and preventing defects in production. In other words, they have to make sure the software development team is doing the right things the right way.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design and develop both automated and manual test cases to validate product features.
• Run automated and manual tests as needed to validate product defect fixes and functionality.
• Work with the Engineering manager and a geographically distributed team to understand product requirements and features.
• Triage test failures on a daily basis.
• Contribute to QA reports and provide input on release metrics.
• Contribute to and validate product documentation.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field BS/MS or BTech (Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering or another related technical field).

Skills and Experience:

Skills:

• Attention to detail and commitment to high quality/error free deliverables.
• Strong team player with good communication skills and should be self-starter.
• Excellent time management skills, with the ability to independently prioritize, multitask, and work under deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working in Linux, Windows, and VMware environments.

Experience:

• 1+ year of experience in testing a software.
• Skilled with at least one common scripting language such as Python, Perl, or bash. Preferably Python.
• GNU/Linux with hands-on experience.
• General familiarity and experience with storage hardware and firmware, e.g. SAS, SATA, RAID, NVRAM, NVMe, Encryption, SSD, cluster concepts.
• Experience configuring, testing, and troubleshooting multiple hardware components like network interfaces, NVDIMM, Drives, Interposers etc..,
• Basic knowledge of any one of the hypervisors like VMware, HyperV, RHEV.
